HWG partner Hilary Gerzhoy has been recognized as one of DCA Live’s Emerging Women Leaders in Private Practice for 2023.

Hilary, who serves as Vice-Chair of HWG’s Legal Ethics and Malpractice group, represents lawyers and law firms in disciplinary investigations, prosecutions, and malpractice matters and represents plaintiffs and defendants in civil and criminal litigation.

Hilary serves on the D.C. Bar Rules of Professional Conduct Review Committee and, in 2022, was appointed by the D.C. Circuit as one of the six members on the D.C. Circuit’s Advisory Committee on Admissions and Grievances.

Hilary is an adjunct law professor at the Georgetown University Law Center where she teaches professional responsibility. She frequently writes about developments in legal ethics and her work has been featured in the Chicago TribuneBloomberg LawLaw360, and LexisNexis. She has been recognized as “One to Watch” by Best Lawyers and she has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” in Litigation.

DCA Live’s Emerging Women Leaders in Law recognizes a small group of “great women attorneys in the Washington region who are emerging as leaders within their firms and the broader DC legal community.” This year’s honorees were recognized during an awards ceremony on April 4, 2023.
