At the New America Foundation’s “The Future of Wi-Fi: Public or Private?” panel held at Microsoft’s Washington, DC office on June 16, 2015, HWG associate Paul Caritj discussed what’s next for Wi-Fi, centered around the FCC’s upcoming decision on allowing a satellite company to operate a private Wi-Fi channel. His presentation explored the pros and cons of the satellite company’s proposed use of spectrum and the potential impact on existing unlicensed uses.
