Paul Margie Appointed to CSMAC
HWG is honored to announce that Paul Margie, head of firm’s telecommunications practice, has been appointed by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo to serve on the Commerce Spectrum Management Advisory Committee (CSMAC).
CSMAC, a group of 29 outside experts, provides advice on policy and technical issues related to wireless technology and the use of spectrum to the U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA). Paul is one of only two lawyers in private practice appointed to the CSMAC.
“Paul is widely regarded as one of the leading lawyers in the world on spectrum use and wireless issues,” said John Nakahata, Chairman of HWG. “We are proud that Paul will be contributing to the country’s continued evolution of its strategy on spectrum management during this critical moment of growth.”
Prior to joining HWG, Margie served in senior positions at the FCC and on Captiol Hill, and led the United Nations Foundation’s program to use wireless technologies to advance humanitarian goals. He is the U.S. Representative of Télécoms Sans Frontières.
