We have considerable experience with respect to undersea cable infrastructure and services. HWG regularly represents and advises undersea cable operators, infrastructure suppliers, maintenance providers, and related trade associations with respect to: telecommunications and competition regulation; environmental regulation and permitting; right-of-way negotiations; trade negotiations, WTO, and market access issues; national security and wiretapping issues; and public international law, particularly jurisdictional and law-of-the-sea matters. HWG also advises these companies on related corporate and commercial matters and negotiations, including: supply contracts; government procurements; construction, operation and maintenance agreements (C&MAs) for consortium-owned infrastructure; backhaul and interconnection agreements; and capacity leases and IRU agreements.
