Scott Blake Harris Discussed the Impact of Telecom Innovations on Energy and Water Utilities at the NARUC Committee Meeting
At the 2015 National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) Summer Committee Meeting held from July 12-15, 2015 in New York City, HWG chairman Scott Blake Harris spoke on a panel titled “Impact of Telecom Technology and Policy on the Energy and Water Sectors” where he examined the growing role and impact of telecom technologies and policies on energy and water utilities. He emphasized that as electric, gas, and water utilities adapt to new telecommunications technologies to modernize their offerings to customers, it is critical for state regulators to understand how new applications of these technologies inform good policy-making.
