Kristin J. Sourbeer
Kristin Sourbeer is an associate with the law firm of Harris, Wiltshire & Grannis LLP, where she practices general civil litigation and criminal defense in federal and state courts and administrative tribunals across the country.
Ms. Sourbeer represents plaintiffs and defendants in civil litigation matters. She has represented clients in mediation and through various stages of state and federal administrative and judicial proceedings, including initial complaints and petitions, discovery, and evidentiary hearings. She has drafted dispositive and procedural motions at both the trial and appellate level in federal and state courts and administrative tribunals.
Ms. Sourbeer also represents companies and individuals in civil and criminal investigations and prosecutions. She has represented companies and individuals responding to federal regulatory investigations and enforcement actions as well as individuals charged with a range of federal criminal offenses.
Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Sourbeer clerked for the Honorable James P. Jones of the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia. She received her J.D. from the University of Virginia, where she served as Online Editor of the Virginia Law Review. While in law school, she interned at the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia and the Department of Justice’s Child Exploitation & Obscenity Section. She received her B.A. in public policy from Duke University. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Sourbeer worked in Information Security.
