W&G Welcomes Back Partner Amy Richardson

May 09, 2014

Wiltshire & Grannis LLP is pleased to welcome back Amy Richardson as partner to the firm.  Ms. Richardson rejoins W&G’s growing Government Investigations practice.

“I couldn’t be happier about Amy’s return to our firm,” said Managing Partner Mark Grannis.  “She’s a fierce advocate and a trusted counselor, and we’re lucky to have her.  I’m particularly excited about the opportunity to serve an expanded regional market under Amy’s leadership in Raleigh.”

Ms. Richardson focuses her practice on government enforcement actions.  She has successfully represented companies before federal and state regulatory agencies and Offices of Inspector General in matters involving the Universal Service Fund, number porting, the Freedom of Information Act, and the loan-securitization process.  Ms. Richardson also has experience helping companies navigate claims arising out of the False Claims Act.   Her practice is supported by her experience in white collar criminal matters and trial litigation.

Ms. Richardson graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Carolina with a B.A. in Communications and received her law degree from Duke University School of Law, cum laude.  After law school Ms. Richardson clerked for the Hon. N. Carlton Tilley of the Middle District of North Carolina.

W&G’s Government Investigations practice has experience in handling the multiple fronts that must be defended when a serious controversy arises.  Its attorneys have represented clients in investigations initiated by a wide variety of regulatory agencies, including the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control, the Federal Communications Commission, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security.  The many decades our attorneys have collectively spent in government service at executive agencies gives us a complete understanding of regulators’ concerns and enhances our ability to address them swiftly and effectively.
